Ima Slacker

Wednesday, April 26th, 2006

What a slacker I am. No posts in a month. Well, I’ve been focused on putting content on my website, so sue me. It’s all about baby steps, my friends. The tricky part is creating a lot of good content (notice all the BAD content out there on the web?), and that has been taking some time. There’s a bit on there, but I have so much more I’d like to add.

Speaking of babies, I have one on the way so don’t expect too many posts for a while. I’m a slacker, but I’m also an expectant father slacker. Never fear, I’ll come up with some good stuff worth reading eventually.

Welcome

Read on, my friend. This is going to be no ordinary blog. Hmmm… Now that I think about it, is there even such a thing as an ordinary blog? Maybe because there’s really no such thing as an ordinary blog, that makes them all ordinary. Deep thought, isn’t it? Oh, shoot, I think I just swiped that deeply philosophical idea from the villain in the movie “The Incredibles”. Sorry, won’t happen again. Or, more accurately, it probably will.

When you get a chance, check out the rest of this website. It’ll be choc full of weight training, health, exercise, and nutrition information. It’s not choc full quite yet, but it will be. Cut me some slack, after all, I’m a man, not a machine.

Okay, so I know what you’re saying to yourself :

“Self, why do I care about this? There’s like a kajillion heath web sites out there.”

Well hang with me here for another minute… Here’s how mine will be different: I’m going to present the information in an easy to understand way, and only include the truth, or as close to the truth as I possibly can. No sensationalistic headlines, no snake oil sales pitch, just solid information sprinkled with a bit of my bad humor. What could be better?

So where does this here blog fit in to the whole mess? Well, honestly, it’s part shameless promotion, part place for me to ramble on and on about a subject that’s very near and dear to me. Feeling healthy, feeling energetic, and feeling young.
